World renowned physicist Stephen Hawking has been hospitalized for checks in Rome, Reuters reports, citing the scientist's spokesman.
His condition is not belived to be serious. It is planned that Hawking will leave the hospital Saturday.
The 74-year-old scientist is taking part in a conference at the Pontificial Academy of Sciences. In the framework of his visit, he also met with Pope Francis.
