Armenia can demand Nagorno-Karabakh’s participation in talks, as a precondition for returning to the negotiating table for resolving the Karabakh conflict.

Former US Ambassador to Armenia, John Evans, stated the aforesaid, according to Voice of America Armenian service.

In Evans’s words, Karabakh has long been ready to come out from under the umbrella of Armenia, and to conduct an independent policy.

Congressman Frank Pallone, who is Co-Chair of the Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues and of the American-Armenian Friendship Group, for his part, noted that the Congress members plan to discuss these matters in the near future with high-level representatives of the administration of US President-elect Donald Trump, to ensure that this administration will pay proper attention to the US co-chairmanship at the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Minsk Group, and achieving a pacific resolution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
