YEREVAN. – In fact, none of the parties to Karabakh conflict want to see deployment of peacekeepers, it would inevitably tie their hands, Russian political scientist Alexander Skakov told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“And none of the mediating countries is excited about sending their peacekeepers to this region. It is a big responsibility and is very dangerous”, the expert explained.

At the same time he specified that, of course, if there is a peace process, deployment of peacekeepers will become inevitable.

“Of course, countries will never take the responsibility for this, only collective forces can do that. Now it is more realistic to resolve an issue of observers, but here there are many obstacles, too. Anyway Russia won't definitely stay away from these processes,” Alexander Skakov noted.
