YEREVAN. – The name is known for the likely candidate for the vacant position of Chairman of the Control Chamber of Armenia.

Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned that President Serzh Sargsyan on Friday will submit the respective candidacy of Levon Yolyan, former Deputy Chairman of the Control Chamber, to the National Assembly (NA).

The nominee’s respective talks with the NA factions will get underway on the same day.

Yolyan had recently served as Minister of Energy and Natural Resources.

One month ago, Ishkhan Zakaryan had submitted his resignation from the position of Chairman of the Control Chamber of Armenia, and on the grounds of joining the alliance formed by opposition Prosperous Armenia Party Chairman—and businessman MP—Gagik Tsarukyan, ahead of the forthcoming parliamentary election in the country.
