YEREVAN. - I am not aware of hearsay about school principals, Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan said at the meeting with voters in Yerevan’s Davitashen administrative district Friday.  

“I cannot give assessments, since I don’t know the details of these events,” he said.

The website sut.am recently made mass prank calls to the republic’s 136 school and kindergarten principals. Introducing themselves as co-workers of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) headquarters, they inquired about the situation of recruiting voters. Only 22 principals refused to answer, saying that politics should be kept out of education. The remaining 114 records were posted on the Internet.

The RPA headquarters reacted to the leak, noting that the work with voters doesn’t contradict the Electoral Code.
