Trying to link, bring the matter of constitutional amendment to the negotiating table is torpedoing the peace talks. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told to reporters at the National Assembly of Armenia Wednesday—and referring to Azerbaijani president Aliyev's statement that there will be no peace treaty if Armenia does not amend its constitution.

"I do not rule out that there are also certain trends to intervene in the internal affairs of Armenia and, also, to initiate processes based on certain disinformation in Armenia," Pashinyan added.

"We talked about amending the constitution [of Armenia] back in 2018, 2019, and our agenda is exclusively related to democratic reforms. We said that the amendment of the constitution can have nothing to do with the negotiation; it is exclusively our internal matter," the Armenian premier said.
