YEREVAN. - This year ten films of French production have been included in the competition and non-competition program of the 14th Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival.

At the meeting with journalists on Monday, Cultural Advisor at the French Embassy in Armenia Alex Bortolan noted that since the second festival they have always presented numerous films there. “We cannot miss the opportunity of participating in the current festival,” he said.  

The film The Red Circle of one of the most renowned French directors Jean-Pierre Melville will launch the Day of French Films within the framework of the 14th Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival.

At the film festival, tribute will be paid to the renowned film director, whose 100th anniversary is marked this year.

The film festival will be held in Yerevan from July 9 to 16.
