Dozens of Palestinians suffered from tear gas, sprayed by Israeli security officials at demonstrations in Hebron, Bethlehem and other cities in the West Bank, the RIA Novosti reported.
The Israeli military personnel used tear gas, bullets and sound grenades at Palestinian demonstrations against the US decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. There were also clashes in Jerusalem.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Health of Gaza Strip Ashraf Al Qidrah informed that one Palestinian was seriously injured during the demonstration.
Trump reversed decades of U.S. policy on Wednesday and recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and said he would move the embassy to the city, despite warnings from around the world that the gesture further drives a wedge between Israel and the Palestinians.
