YEREVAN.- The impact of economic, political and social factors on Armenia's current inflation rate was 0.9%, Head of “Alternative” research center, Doctor in economics, Professor Tatul Manaseryan  said on Friday.

According to him,  increase in the excise taxes and VAT within EAEU has influenced increase in cost of the minimum consumer basket by 0.2 %.

"As the figures show, the external inflation factors are not so terrible for Armenia as the country's internal problems," economist noted, adding that sharp price changes indicate inadequate inflation trends.

He noted that in this context the state should apply its regulatory and supervisory function, and experience shows that the Armenian authorities are able to solve the price problem  in a few hours.
