YEREVAN. – International recognition of the Armenian Genocide remained a priority for Armenian diplomacy in 2017, Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in an annual report, summing up 2017.

Another priority was Armenia's involvement in the international community’s activities to prevent new genocides and crimes against humanity.

Armenian diplomatic missions in most countries organized events, dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

The Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament adopted a resolution condemning the Armenian Genocide on April 25. In 2017, totally 48 US states recognized Armenian Genocide, including Wyoming (April 21), Texas (May 19), Iowa (August 24), Indiana (November 6). Armenian Genocide was also recognized by local municipalities of several countries.
