On February 24, Armenia presidential candidate and Ambassador to UK Armen Sarkissian attended, at the embassy of Armenia in Lebanon, the opening of a photo exhibition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) Liberation Movement.

In his remarks at the event, Sarkissian reflected on the Artsakh heroic battle’s importance at the dawn of the re-establishment of Armenian statehood. Also, he stressed that hard work and collective effort is needed to surmount the challenges facing both Armenia and Artsakh.

And on Sunday, Armen Sarkissian met, at the aforesaid embassy, with the heads of several Armenian political parties as well as Armenian members of the Lebanese parliament and government.

Armenia’s foreign and domestic policy plus the preservation of Armenian identity were discussed at the talk.

Sarkissian presented his vision for the avenues for overcoming challenges facing Armenia, the country’s normal development and ensuring the unity of the Armenian public, and reflected on the priorities of the respective steps to be taken.
