Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced his intention to invite US President Donald Trump to inaugurate US Embassy in Jerusalem in May 2018, the prime minister told reporters, The Times of Israel said.

“The decision by President Trump to relocate the US embassy to Jerusalem on the coming Independence Day, will make the celebrations even more joyful. Thank you President Trump, thank you for your leadership, and your strong friendship,” said the prime minister.

Netanyahu’s meeting with the US president this week will be the fifth since Trump took the office
