Germany and France are ready to take up issues in the European Union that they believe not to be resolved at the national level, said German Chancellor Angela Merkel, AFP reported.

According to her, these include economic growth, euro exchange rate stability, protection of external borders and migration crisis management.

Angela Merkel also noted that EU will discuss earlier next week relations with UK after Brexit.
