Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has sent a message to the new Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, to offer congratulations on his election and expressed the hope that Tehran-Yerevan ties would further develop.

“I hope that we witness further development of relations between the two countries,” the message reads, in particular. “I pray to the Almighty for your Excellency’s health and success and the people of the Republic of Armenia’s prosperity and felicity.”
