The annual dinner of the Co-ordination Council of Armenian organizations in France (CCAF) was given at Radisson Blu in Marseille, on January 28, Nouvelles d’Arménie reports.
More than 200 guests, including Armenian Ambassador to France Vigen Chetichyan, Mayor of Marseille Jean-Claude Gaudin and President of the General Council of Bouches-du-Rhone department Jean-Noel Guerini, as well as MPs, consuls, officials and representatives of the Armenian community attended the event.
The event marked the 10th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide recognition by France.
It was followed by a protest action with people demanding to adopt a law making it a crime to deny that Armenians suffered genocide at the hands of Ottoman Turks.
