YEREVAN. – US-Armenia economic relations are at a completely new level; the countries are working toward the agreement on mutual protection of investments, which will enable to attract new investments.

Artsvik Minasyan, the Minister of Economic Development and Investments of Armenia, on Wednesday told the aforesaid to reporters.

“We already have successful stories of American investments in the country,” the minister said. “And that gives us hope and confidence that we [Armenia] can expect specific investments in at least 80 percent of the domains.”

Minasyan added that Armenia will have a trade representation in the US, either by the end of the current year or the first half of the coming year.

And when asked how the US sanctions on Russia could impact Armenia’s economy, the minister responded that the impact can be both negative and positive—as it can open new opportunities for the country.
