YEREVAN. – The debates between the Yerevan mayoral candidates from “My Step” bloc and Prosperous Armenia party would be interesting for everyone, secretary of Tsarukyan faction Vahe Enfiajyan said during traditional briefings on Monday.

Vahe Enfiajyan said unless Yerevan mayoral candidate Hayk Marutyan has no fears to hold debates, “they would be in place”.

“According to polls, the leading candidates are Hayk Marutyan and Naira Zohrabyan. It would be interesting for the voters to see these debates,” he said.

At the same time, he noted that they do not have any desire “to blacken” or “whitewash” anyone, expressing hope that the meeting of these candidates will take place on equal terms for all parties.

“We are convinced that Naira Zohrabyan is well informed about the internal political processes in Armenia. She has organizational skills to implement the desired changes in Yerevan. So we do not see any problems in this regard,” he said.

Marutyan has already rejected Zohrabyan's proposal to hold a debate between them.
