YEREVAN.- Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Director General of Rosatom Alexey Likhachev, the press service of the government reported.

Pashinyan said that he attaches great importance to the development of cooperation between Armenia and Russia in the energy sector and expressed satisfaction with the level of bilateral cooperation.The Prime Minister noted that the Government of Armenia attaches great importance to the development of nuclear power in the country, expressing the hope that cooperation with the Russian side in this direction will be more efficient.

Pashinyan stressed that the Armenian-Russian relations overcame the post-revolutionary transitional stage, and the Armenian government is interested in constant expansion and deepening of bilateral cooperation.

The interlocutors touched upon the issue of continuing work on the construction of the second block of the Armenian nuclear power plant.
