National Assembly (NA) President Ara Babloyan on Monday received and had a farewell meeting with US Ambassador Richard Mills, who is concluding his diplomatic mission in Armenia.

First, the NA speaker thanked the US diplomat for his efforts to develop Armenian-American relations, and wished him success in his future work.

In Babloyan’s words, Armenian-American cooperation has evolved in recent years. Also, the parliament chairman lauded the continued US assistance to the strengthening of democracy and implementing of reforms in Armenia.

At the ensuing talk, the interlocutors reflected on the most recent developments in Armenia.

Ambassador Mills noted that he underscores the productive cooperation between the two countries during the years of his tenure in Armenia. Also, he expressed the confidence that the US government will continue assisting the Armenian people in the establishment of a strong and independent parliament.
