YEREVAN. – The Russian authorities, including the Russian president, fully support our fight against corruption, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in an interview with France 24.

Asked whether Pashinyan has fears that Russia will interfere with Armenia’s affairs, the PM said: “A lot has been said about presence of the Russian base in Armenia, and this supposedly proves the restricted sovereignty of Armenia. Let me tell you Armenia, as the country stands today, is not less independent than France, for example.  Given the current situation I see myself as a guarantor of Armenia’s self-determination. I am delighted that all our partners, including Russia fully respect Armenia’s independence. I can absolutely tell you the Russian authorities, including the Russian president, fully support our fight against”.

He recalled that there are ongoing investigation into corruption involving Russian companies, just as French companies and German companies.
