The Iranian police blocked house of the opposition leader Mir-Hossein Mousavi in Tehran and cut off phone communication, Mousavi’s website reported.

The law enforcers are trying to prevent Mousavi from participation in today’s oppositional rally in Tehran organized in support of uprising in Tunis and Egypt.  

The Iranian authorities banned separate protest of the opposition calling on them to express solidarity with mass riots in the Arab states within the framework of government-held demonstrations, RFE/RL reported.

Despite authorities’ refusal, the opposition rally was not canceled.
