YEREVAN. – I have a great expectation that today, our society will actively participate in the voting; it’s extremely important. Consolidation is needed (…), especially in decisive moments for the country.

Former ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) First Vice-Chairman Vigen Sargsyan, who heads the RPA electoral list in the snap parliamentary election, told the aforesaid to reporters, after voting in Sunday’s election.

“[Voters] must go [to the election precincts] (…) and give a conscious vote to the [political] force to which the future of the country is linked,” he said. “The second thing I expect is that we will have a more consolidated society, at the end of the day.

“Today I voted for the Armenia where no one will ever think of dividing the [country’s] society into [the] ‘blacks’ [the bad] and ‘whites’ [the good] [political forces].”

Also, Sargsyan expressed the hope that, after this election, the people of Armenia will have a country where they will rely on knowledge, experience, and consistency—at least on crucial matters.
