Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun has released a statement on the outcome of snap parliamentary elections in Armenia.

“As a result of early parliamentary elections the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun (ARF-D) will not be represented at the National Assembly of 7th convocation,” the statement says, describing it as a defeat but not of the party’s voters.

“In this defeat we see the following.

A. The voters gave their votes to a person not to an idea and program

B. A significant number of participants of the elections are focused on “domestic enemy” character and is not absolutely concerned over external and domestic dangers

C. ARF-D's approaches are being perceived by minority

D. Artsakh factor is not being treated properly

E. National Assembly without ideological and national features is being formed,” the statement says, adding that the short campaign gave them an opportunity to understand the real number of their associates, gave an opportunity to debate, voice concerns, oppose dangerous tendencies, bring own arguments.

The party also expressed gratitude to its voters, to the young wing of the party for the devotion and energy.

“This phase of history is being closed and a new one comes. We are entering the new one with a solid structure, dreams for future and determination to fight,” the statement concludes.
