The Armenian government is discussing a number of important investment projects with Russia, including industrial ones, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told reporters on Friday.

According to him, talks with Russian colleagues kicked off back at the World Economic Forum in Davos as there he met with VTB Bank President Andrei Kostin, Russian Business Ombudsman Boris Titov and other important  representatives of the Russian business community and economic departments.

According to him, the implementation of investment projects takes time, which should be used as efficiently as possible.

“Financing of the Teghut copper-molybdenum deposit is being discussed with VTB Bank. The mine and the copper smelter in Alaverdi province create over thousand jobs in the north of Armenia, and copper is among the ten largest export products of the country. We hoped that by the end of 2018, it would be possible to restore work there," the PM noted expressing hope that VTB Bank will be able to reach an agreement with an operator who will manage the field.
