YEREVAN. – Several MPs cleaned up the Circular Park in capital city of Yerevan, and within the framework of the nationwide Saturday volunteer labor day in Armenia (PHOTOS).

Ever since 9am, about two dozen deputies cleaned up and planted trees in the area.

Later, National Assembly speaker Ararat Mirzoyan joined them. But he recorded with surprise that the entire area had already been cleaned, and he planted two trees himself.

Virtually all Armenian lawmakers were taking part in this Saturday volunteer labor with their families.

Also, a table was set at the park, and with coffee, beverages, and sweets which not solely the MPs, but also others helped themselves with.

The people, however, complained to the deputies that there were no waste containers at the Circular Park, and this makes the Saturday volunteer labor meaningless. Mirzoyan, in turn, promised to speak about this matter with Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan.
