Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador does not intend to argue with  with his US counterpart Donald Trump over his threats to close the common border, the Mexican leader said this at a press conference,  TASS reported.

“I mentioned this yesterday and I'll repeat the same thing again, we will help to cooperate, we want to have good relations with the US government, we will not debate, we believe that we need to pay attention to the reasons for the migration,” said López Obrador. Trump earlier promised to close the border with Mexico next week , if Mexico does not stop the flow of illegal migration to the United States.

According to human rights organizations, every year several hundred thousand residents of the poor Central American republics are trying to get to the United States through Mexico. On this way, they face many dangers, often they become victims of criminal gangs or traffickers.
