STEPANAKERT. – President of the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic/NKR), Bako Sahakyan, on Monday met with Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II.
State and church relations, the state-building process in Artsakh, domestic and foreign policies, and Armenian unity were discussed during the meeting, Central Information Department of the Office of the Artsakh President informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
They highlighted the role of the Armenian Apostolic Church in state-building, maintaining the Armenian national identity, and cementing the Armenia-Artsakh-Diaspora trinity.
Primate of the Diocese of Artsakh of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, also took part in the talk.
