Sanitek director Nicholas Tawil accused the Armenian authorities of intent to expropriate the company's property.

His remarks came during the online press conference via Skype.

“The reason for the idea to hold a press conference in Tbilisi is that Sanitek is under aggressive administrative pressure,” he said.

According to him, one of the examples is a criminal case against Sanitek, initiated in February of this year.

“The criminal case is groundless and illegal, resulting from their political considerations,” Tawil noted, adding that the actions are aimed at exhausting the company's financial capabilities and expropriating the property.

He recalled earlier that the authorities were preparing to terminate the deal with the company, and the actions were dictated by political considerations.

The company has been operating in Armenia for 4.5 years. Its owners are from Lebanon and Canada.
