Armenia’s Minister of Economy Tigran Khachatryan today received Regional Manager of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) for the South Caucasus Jan Van Bilsen.

As reported the Ministry of Economy, the minister greeted the guests, attached importance to the fruitful partnership with the IFC and the past activities and presented the scope of activities of the center for support to investors.

Jan Van Bilsen expressed gratitude for the reception, presented the activities that the IFC has carried out in Armenia and set aside finance, energy, healthcare and tourism as the four main directions for cooperation.

Stating the importance of the growth of tourism in Armenia, Tigran Khachatryan presented Armenia’s policy on tourism, as well as the prospects and opportunities for growth. He also said it was worth mentioning the need for and importance of development of the capital market and voiced hope that the IFC’s support in this sector would help achieve more serious results.
