YEREVAN. – The car customs clearance queues and complaints in Gyumri were mainly related to the bank. Armenia State Revenue Committee (SRC) Chairman Davit Ananyan told this to journalists today.
"Sadly, there was one [bank] branch [there]," he said. "And there were queues in terms of physical volume."
According to Ananyan, the customs clearance of cars coming from the northern border checkpoints of Armenia will be completely transferred to Gyumri in late November.
He also informed that as of the beginning of December, the functions from the North Customs Department will move to the newly built customs house.
Ananyan thinks that the customs clearance of cars that have accumulated in Yerevan will be completed by the end of the year. "We will have a 7-day work schedule until the end of the year," he added. "We will have an extended work day."
