I get the impression that Armenia is constantly trying to understand what Azerbaijan wants and must do and are more interested in Azerbaijan’s statements. This is what head of the My Step faction of the National Assembly told journalists today.

When asked how the talks will proceed when Azerbaijan continues with its coarse rhetoric, Makunts said the following: “We need to place emphasis on the statements made in Armenia and during the talks. Azerbaijan’s rhetoric and statements shouldn’t be in our focus. Of course, Armenia needs to draw conclusions, but it needs to focus on its statements, not theirs,” the head of the faction said.

As for Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan’s statement that the solution to the Artsakh issue must be acceptable for the peoples of Armenia, Artsakh and Azerbaijan and when asked if there is such an option, Makunts said the following: “We place emphasis on the fact that the solution must be acceptable for all sides. That’s all I have to say.”
