Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan yesterday met with Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova Aureliu Ciokoi on the sidelines of the 26th OSCE Ministerial Council.

Minister Mnatsakanyan congratulated his Moldovan counterpart on assuming office and wished him success.

The interlocutors underscored the bilateral willingness to take active steps for further strengthening of the Armenian-Moldovan relations hinged on historically strong ties and further enrichment of the bilateral agenda.

Alongside intensification of cooperation, the ministers also underscored the importance of introducing programs to exchange experiences in the fields of information technologies, innovation and creative education. The foreign ministers valued the existing level of partnership between the two countries on multilateral platforms and, in this context, touched upon the initiatives dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the EU Eastern Partnership and exchanged views on the future vision.

Touching upon Armenia’s foreign policy priorities, Armenia’s foreign minister presented Armenia’s fundamental position on and approaches to the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
