There are no talks over the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and this can entail serious consequences since the alternative to talks is war. This is what political scientist Garegin Petrosyan told journalists today.
He noted that it is only safe to talk about certain meetings since talks imply a clear-cut stance of the Armenian side, and this is lacking. “The Armenian government is the one responsible for this. Azerbaijan’s military operations are only constrained by the efficient Armenian army and the stances of Iran and Russia, which don’t want to see a war on their borders,” the analyst added.
In his turn, leader of Alternative NGO Narek Mantashyan declared that the Armenian authorities are distracting the public’s attention from the Karabakh issue with false agendas and arrests.
