On the first day of his working visit to Georgia, High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of Armenia Zareh Sinanyan visited the Saint George’s Church in Tbilisi and had a meeting with Vicar of the Prelacy of the Georgian-Armenian Diocese, Archimandrite Kirakos Davtyan, reports the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs.

Afterwards, the High Commissioner visited the “House of Hovhannes Tumanyan” Scientific-Cultural Center and the construction site of the Petros Adamian Tbilisi State Armenian Drama Theater, which is set to open in November of this year. The High Commissioner said he was glad to see that the local Armenian community is linked to Armenian history, culture and arts and that the aim of his visit is to identify the issues and understand what the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs can do to help them solve those issues. Zareh Sinanyan also visited the Khojivank Pantheon of Armenian Writers and Public Figures, Gari Davtyan’s Puppet Home and Nersisyan Armenian School.
