The political council of Artsakh’s (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic) United Homeland Party has decided to endorse Masis Mayilyan, who is running in the presidential elections. This is stated in the statement issued by the political party.

“During the extraordinary congress of United Homeland Party held on February 9, 2020, the political party’s founding chairman Samvel Babayan expressed the party’s position and declared that the party is negotiating with active political parties in order to participate in the elections through consolidation of active parties in Artsakh.

Today, more than ever, we need unity. Wise people think about consolidating the interests of the public because only through the people’s unity is it possible to overcome crises, and Artsakh is truly in a crisis.

Taking this into consideration, the political council of United Homeland Party has decided to endorse Masis Mayilyan, who has registered to run in the presidential elections and is also aware of the fact that the situation is grave and crucial and is concerned about the destiny of the united homeland.

In principle, Masis Mayilyan accepts the pre-election platform of United Homeland Party and is ready to implement the objectives upon assumption of office, and the objectives are to create an efficient army, overcome economic stagnation and solve social issues.

United Homeland Party is drafting a memorandum on the political cooperation with Masis Mayilyan that will be signed in the presence of mass media representatives soon.”
