The Central Election Commission of Armenia has identified three possible dates for elections to local authorities, said Armenian minister of territorial administration and infrastructures Suren Papikyan. His remarks came on Tuesday at the meeting in parliament.

According to him, the elections were planned to be held in February, May, September-October. The Minister recalled that the elections scheduled for May did not take place because of coronavirus, or rather, the state of emergency.

“Most likely, the elections will be held in September-October,” Papikyan noted, adding that by this time the CEC may also set new dates.

The minister said that the election process will resume only after solving COVID-19 issues.
