Spain began on Wednesday 10-day mourning for COVID-19 pandemic victims, TASS reported.

The royal family of Spain, members of the government, employees of various government agencies, and many residents of the country paid tribute to the victims with a minute of silence.

This is the longest mourning in the history of Spanish democracy. 

Spain has already recorded 236 COVID-19 cases, while the death toll has reached 27,117.
