There are 187,000 citizens who have been provided with support through the government’s ninth anti-crisis program, but the government had to provide that support through banks. This is what Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan declared during a special parliamentary session today, adding that, as a result, there was accumulation of people near banks and social distancing was not maintained.
“This led to increase in the number of coronavirus cases, even when the government had notified people to not go to banks in large groups,” Pashinyan said.
