YEREVAN. – Discussions are held on a daily basis about extending the state of emergency in the country, but it is too early to talk about extending the state of emergency. Mane Gevorgyan, spokesperson for the Prime Minister of Armenia, stated this in a conversation with Armenian News-NEWS.am.

To note, the third term for the state of emergency that has been declared in Armenia—and due to the COVID-19 pandemic—will conclude on July 14.

There are reports in the press that a special session of the government will be convened on July 13, during which the draft on extending the state of emergency will be approved, and on the same day a special sitting of the National Assembly will be convened on the same issue.
