The number of COVID-19 patients in a serious or critical condition is around 650 people, and about 50 people are connected to ventilators, Armenian health minister Arsen Torosyan said during the government's meeting.

According to him, for four days there have been no patients waiting at home for hospitalization or being transferred to other medical institutions. 

"Compared to two weeks ago, the health care system records significant progress, including in terms of free beds and the provision of prompt and appropriate medical care," he noted.

PM Nikol Pashinyan, in turn, added that tensions in the healthcare system have eased in recent days, which may be due to an increase in the scale of wearing masks.
