President of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad fired three Cabinet ministers, Iran’s presidential website reports.

Ahmadinejad fired Oil Minister Masoud Mirkazemi, Welfare and Social Security Minister Sadeq Mahsouli and Industry Minister Ali Akbar Mehrabian.

The ministers were relieved as new law passed by Iran’s parliament requires Ahmadinejad to reduce ministries from 21 to 17.
