The UK authorities have dropped plans on the next stage of lifting restrictions amid a spike in COVID-19 cases, the UK PM Boris Johnson noted.

According to him, they have to put on the lifting to keep the virus under control.

On Saturday, the UK hoped to open a number of establishments where the risk of contamination is higher, which remained closed.

The next stage of lifting restrictions was supposed to kick off on August 1.
