France began to produce protective masks that allow you to read lips, TASS reported.

The production is deployed at one of its enterprises near Paris France Handicap - one of the largest French associations of people with disabilities, created in the 30s of the XX century.

The mask will be provided with a wide transparent part in the center, making the lips visible to the interlocutor. The transparent screen is made of polyvinyl chloride film. The mask is equipped with elastic loops attached to the ears, or with Velcro straps, which allow it to be firmly fixed on the face.

The production capacity allows the association to produce 300 masks per day. The idea of such a device was put forward by a resident of Toulouse, who suffers from deafness. She began to raise money for the project via crowdfunding. France Handicap joined the project with a proposal to ensure the production and sale of masks.

The high-quality filter cloth installed on the mask can withstand 20 washes. The plastic part of the mask is coated from the inside with a special compound that prevents it from fogging up.
