During a briefing today, Spokesperson for the United Nations Secretary-General Stephane Dujarric said Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is concerned over the violations of the ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh, TASS reports.

Dujarric said the Secretary-General has welcomed the ceasefire agreement reached by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan in Moscow this past weekend and reported that the United Nations doesn’t accept the ceasefire violations. The Secretary-General condemns any operation targeted against the civilian population and expresses condolences for the victims and wounded persons.

The Secretary-General reminds the sides about their commitments in accordance with international humanitarian law and calls on them to fulfill their obligations for humanitarian considerations.
