Azerbaijan and Turkey are trying to misinform the international community and convince the latter that Turkey isn’t participating in the aggression against Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), that Azerbaijan isn’t using mercenaries and that the churches and civilian objects in Artsakh aren’t being shelled. This is what Advisor to the Prime Minister of Armenia Vagharshak Harutyunyan said during a press conference today.

Harutyunyan recalled that the presidents of these countries have unanimously declared that there are no mercenaries in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone. “It turns out that all the co-chairing countries of the OSCE Minsk Group, including Russia, namely the head of foreign intelligence, Putin during his conversation with Erdogan, the President of France expressed concern over the involvement of mercenary terrorists, even the US Secretary of State blamed Turkey for involving mercenaries, not to mention other countries…There are many videos and audio recordings regarding the participation of mercenaries that Turkey and Azerbaijan are trying to refute,” Harutyunyan said.

According to him, Azerbaijan’s cooperation with terrorists is nothing new since the country was actively benefiting from the services of mercenaries during the first Nagorno-Karabakh war as well. “Azerbaijan’s cooperation with terrorists poses a threat to the whole region, and Iran and the Russian Federation have announced this threat,” he stressed.
