President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin says preconditions are being created for a settlement of the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, taking into consideration the interests of both Yerevan and Baku, RIA Novosti reported.

“The Russian humanitarian response center has started operating and is providing assistance to devastated civilians, restoring infrastructures and creating conditions for normal life. We anticipate the involvement of profile international organizations. From this it proceeds that all this creates preconditions for a full-format and long-term settlement of the conflict on a fair ground and based on the interests of the Azerbaijani and Armenian peoples,” Putin said during a ceremony held for granting credentials to ambassadors.
