Badri Bitsadze, former deputy interior minister and husband of former Georgian parliament speaker Nino Burjanadze, is hiding in Armenia, Rezonansi newspaper writes.

He reportedly left Georgia on Sunday, newspaper writes referring to its sources.

Bitsadze was accused of organizing armed resistance against the authorities and organizing mass riots. Rumors have it that he has left the country. His whereabouts are not known since May 26.

Nino Burjanadze called the charges against her husband fabricated. She refused to pay $60,000 bail to show solidarity with other arrested opposition activists.
