You consider Nikol Pashinyan a traitor, but for me, he’s an enemy, not a traitor. This is what Vazgen Manukyan, candidate of the opposition Homeland Salvation Movement for Prime Minister of Armenia, stated during today’s rally on Marshal Baghramyan Avenue in Yerevan.

“Two-and-a-half years ago, I had said that external forces managed to seize Armenia by taking advantage of our people’s natural desire for justice and lawfulness. If the enemy has seized your country, all the ways for struggle against the enemy are lawful, but we chose to lead a political struggle. Fifteen thousand people showed up to the rally at Republic Square, even though the authorities had used administrative resources. This means the people don’t support Nikol Pashinyan anymore.

Nikol Pashinyan’s second pillar are power structures, and the army is the backbone of those power structures. If the army takes one side, the other power structures take that side as well and can’t flounder during this military situation. The army stood with the people and said Nikol Pashinyan must resign,” he said.
