More and more police troops are being brought to Marshal Baghramyan Avenue and Demirtchyan Street in Yerevan where the citizens demanding Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan’s resignation have pitched tents and blocked the entrance to the National Assembly. The police are armed with shields and helmets and are trying to move forward step-by-step, leaving the impression that they are trying to open the street.
At this moment, all entrances to the National Assembly are closed, and the opposition Homeland Salvation Movement has declared that it will block entrances to and exits from the building and that the National Assembly won’t hold sessions so long as deputies haven’t demanded the resignation of Nikol Pashinyan.
