The council of Armenia’s opposition Homeland Salvation Movement has posted on the Movement’s Facebook page the following statement:

“In response to the initiative of the President of Armenia, the council of the Homeland Salvation Movement emphasizes that the country is on the brink of a national disaster and the systemic security, political and socio-economic crisis is deepening, and the reasons and those responsible for this are known.

The Homeland Salvation Movement reaffirms its roadmap for overcoming the crisis, that is, resignation of the Prime Minister, formation of an ad-hoc government and snap parliamentary elections.

Realizing the urgent need to overcome the deepening crisis, we express our willingness to hold political consultations in the specified format and with our proposed agenda.

The meetings need to be held publicly and with live broadcasting at the National Assembly of Armenia, which is vested with the primary mandate.”
